One of our persistent reveries over at Reverie HQ is about having a well-earned and relaxing vacation (we’re itching to feel the sun on our skin!) – so, imagine how we felt when this destination wedding from Morocco landed in our inboxes! We have been dreaming about mint teas and accessories shopping in Marrakech ever since…
Clare & Richard were married at Dar Ayniwen, located in the outskirts of Marrakech. The ceremony’s colors were rich and vibrant with fuchsia pink as the central theme.
Prior to the ceremony, guests followed a path of fuchsia rose petals which led them to the gardens, where they enjoyed mint tea.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed champagne and canapes in the olive grove, while lounging on Moroccan rugs and cushions.
We love all the lanterns, carpets and pillows that Clare & Richard used for their wedding decor.
Clare & Richard chose to have one large, long table for all their family and friends. We love the fuchsia table linens and the gold and fuchsia Napolean chairs.
For their wedding breakfast, Clare & Richard wanted a relaxed dining experience. Their guests feasted on a mezze of salads on sharing cake stands, followed by a barbecue served with cous couse and traditional baked potatoes and salads.
Prior to the seated dinner, guests were surprised by the entertainment for the early evening: a performance by local “Gnawa” musicians and acrobats. Guests even joined in by sporting Gnawa costumes and hats that were provided as well as joining in with the singing!
How amazing that they hired flame throwers for their after-dinner entertainment?!
We love their wedding cake: a tower of strawberry, raspberry and vanilla macarons.

The Moroccan heat must’ve been pretty intense – or it was just one helluva party – as guests took a late-night dip in the pool!
