SWEET & SIMPLE IN SAN JOSE: SARAH & CHRIS…

It’s very easy, in our ‘pinterest-ing’, moodboarded and themed world, to forget that ‘the big day’, ‘W day’, call it what you will, is actually all about 2 people who love each other to the moon and back, making a pretty huge commitment to each other, and to their friends and families. While we love to get caught up in the Vera Wang of it all, we’re also complete suckers for good old fashioned romance…

Sarah and Chris met and started dating during the Christmas holidays, and one of their most cherished dates involved driving around town like secret santas, and quietly fixing the Christmas decorations that had been blown about in a storm. Cute doesn’t quite cover it! So it seemed only natural that they would choose a winter wedding when their big day came.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…

Nothing like a wedding party that knows how to strike a pose!!

For their first dance Sarah and Chris took a spin to “You’re All I Want for Christmas,” by Frankie Laine.  Sarah said they weren’t sold on any popular Christmas songs for the first dance but as soon as they found that song, they fell in love with it right way. It described their feelings for each other perfectly.

Sarah & Chris’s photographer, Erica Boekestein, summed up the day perfectly, “While all the decorations were beautiful, it was honestly the two of them that made the wedding truly beautiful.  They are both so sweet, thoughtful, and easy going, and so very much in love.”
